I’m Sally, the treat-loving baker behind Moments to Savour. I’m also the mother of 2 gorgeous girls, a wife to a well-fed farmer, and a very firm believer in making sure that ‘moment on the lips’ is 100% a guilt and regret-free good time!
After planning our wedding in 2014 including the cake and bomboniere (highly not recommend), I realised my creative passion & decided to leave behind the world of banking and finance. I’d always dabbled in baking – making Melting Moments on the side for a nearby café and supplying an assortment of tasty treats at local markets at every opportunity – so I thought, why not do what I love for a living?
We designed and made a purpose-built kitchen on our family farm near Mount Gambier, and so Moments to Savour was born.
I come from a long line of bakers and—along with the rest of my family—believe there’s nothing quite like sharing beautiful food with the people you love – it really is a moment to savour.
I’m obsessed with all things sweet (but not too sweet – I’m all about finding that perfect balance) and am steadfast about using only the highest quality local ingredients I can find – with the exception of my Belgian chocolate, because no one does it quite as well as the Belgians!
I create delicious treat boxes, pastries, and tarts, as well as mouth-watering buttercream cakes for special occasions. I love working with clients to create the perfect bespoke cake for their birthday, engagement, wedding, or other important celebration, and guarantee – it will always taste as good as it looks.
